Dr. Michael Zhang, president & CEO of Optimer Biotechnology, Inc. and his wife Dr. Tessie Che, graced the show on the opening night of Chinese New Year Spectacular show in San Diego on Jan. 15, 2008.

Dr. Michael Zhang: "The program was nicely arranged and contained some historical [Chinese] stories. If my granddaughter saw the show, she would definitely be delighted."

Dr. Tessie Che: "The dance was fantastic! The performers are very, very talented. The performance was very exciting! I call it grand-tastic! My favorites are the Tang Court Drummers and the opening dance from heaven, which delivered a fantastic world…The costumes are beautiful and very, very attractive. Dr. Gil Jackofsky: "It was thought provoking and it made you think. The message was very clear and very uplifting, and I think that the theme of the show was peace and freedom."

Carol Jackofsky: "The tenors, the sopranos … They were wonderful. I thought that ballet was very disciplined, but this is beyond that … The discipline of it was amazing … It was magnificent, ecstatically gorgeous, and one of the best things I've ever seen.” » Full story
